Organisation
for Past Members Of the Corps (COMPO)
|
|
COMPO is the association for past cadets of Bournemouth Schools Combined
Cadet Force and was established in 1991. Its aim is to provide ex-cadets
with a means to remain in contact with the CCF and old friends from the
corps. We currently have in excess of 450 past members on our database.

It's a great opportunity to keep in touch with old friends and to give
back some support to the CCF wherever and whenever we can.
|
|
COMPO membership is free to past cadets, all we
need is your contact details to keep you informed of events.
We are keen to hear from any past cadets that wish to attend these
events and would appreciate any help existing COMPO members can give in
keeping our mailing list growing and accurate. In an effort to keep
down our admin costs, we are particularly grateful if COMPO members can let
us have their e-mail addresses rather than relying on the postal service.
If you would like to add your contact details to the COMPO mailing list
or have any details of your friends, then please fill in the form provided.

The pivotal event on the COMPO calendar is the annual dinner held
between Christmas and New Year. This has proven to be a successful event,
increasing in popularity year after year since the first gathering in the
early 90's.
Typically, about between 50 and 60 members attend each event. Past
locations have been the Queens Hotel, The Mirimar
Hotel, Queens Park Health Club and the Dudsbury
Golf club for the past few years.

Over the years, Bournemouth School CCF has introduced a tremendous
number of cadets into the UK Armed Forces. The majority have been
very successful commissioned and non-commissioned officers; many have in
turn looked for chances to support the activities of the current members of
the Corps.
If you are an ex-member of the Corps and would like to support the
activities of today's cadets in any way, we'd be delighted to hear from
you! Please drop us an email
and we'll be in touch to discuss the possibilities.
