The CCF were lucky enough to send 18 Cadets and
3 Officers to the Royal Navy's Fleet Review, as part of the Trafalgar 200
celebrations. The delegation spent the day on board HMS Marlborough, a Type
23 Frigate and took part in the ships salute to Her Majesty The Queen as
Lord High Admiral of the Fleet, Royal Navy. Cadets were able to view all
areas of the ship, meet the Captain and crew as well as sit in the ships
Lynx Helicopter.
The Contingent Commander extends his thanks to the ships Captain, Commander
I E Graham RN and his crew for making Bournemouth School CCF so
welcome.

We are delighted that once again all members of both Bournemouth
School teams completed their
walks safely. Well done to both teams, reserves
and team managers for all the hard work that went into the weekend and the
training that lead up to the event.
The weather was fairly variable over the weekend. Walkers were
treated to a pretty typical Dartmoor welcome with a
continual change between heavy showers and bright sunshine!
An extract from the official results for the weekend are shown below,
showing that all members of both the 35 and 45 mile teams returned at
15:52hrs and 16:28 hrs
respectively.
